The Del Ray Montessori School is a non-profit Montessori School located in the quaint Del Ray neighborhood of Alexandria, Virginia, we are associated and recognized by AMI/USA (Association Montessori International). Founded in 2011, we serve children ages 18 months through age 12 and their families in the DC metropolitan area.
At Del Ray Montessori school we believe in community. We welcome and embrace all people of unique qualities and identities and honor the way each person chooses to define themselves. Throughout our community, we strive to curate and cultivate an inclusive environment where each child, their family and our staff feels welcomed and has a strong sense of belonging. Empowering one another to acknowledge the humanity in others, and celebrate our diverse community in order to fulfill the cosmic task of being a global citizen of the world is of great importance and priority. We enthusiastically embolden our community to rise to our highest potential to discover our own journey towards prosperity and accomplishment, however that is individually defined.
